Jordin Sparks made headlines over the weekend, but it wasn't for a new album or single.

Instead, the former American Idol champion posed on the red carpet of Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix with a new figure sources say is 30 pounds lighter than the one she carried around in 2010.

Slimmed down a size 6, Sparks shined at the event - which isn't to say she was overweight before. But there is a noticeable difference in Jordin's look from just a month earlier, isn't there? Compare these before and after pics:

Sparks has said she loves "food and curves" too much to ever be considered "stick thin," adding a couple years ago: "I learned that I'm not ever going to be a size 2. I would look so weird as a size 2. Somebody would blow and I would fall right over. It just wouldn't be healthy."
