The Dancing With the Stars field has been so wide open this season, with no clear favorites emerging and the Mirror Ball title being in reach of all.

That said, last night's elimination came as something of a surprise.

The four low scorers after Monday night's performances are all audience favorites: Kendra Wilkinson, Kirstie Alley, Chelsea Kane and Romeo.

That meant it was truly anyone's guess last night as to who would go home. And when it was all over Tuesday night, viewers got a mild shock:

Kendra Wilkinson was sent home from Dancing With the Stars.

Week after week she charmed fans with her girl-next-door sex appeal even as she struggled with some of the technical aspects of ballroom dance.

Now it's all over for K-Dubs. She was eliminated even though she finished ahead of Alley and Romeo this week with 31 points to their 30 apiece.

Kendra and Louis

"I've lasted seven weeks – seven weeks longer than I ever thought I would last," said Kendra Wilkinson, who thanked her pro partner, Louis van Amstel.

She also gave a shout-out to the two Hanks in her life: her husband and son.

"I'm not the best dancer but I am the best mom," she said, adding that she's glad it's over in at least that one sense. "I'm going back to being a mom."

What do you think? Did the voters get it right sending Kendra packing? Who do you think will win Season 12 now that the field is down to five? Vote:
