A billboard promoting AMC’s hit The Walking Dead has sparked a bit of controversy in the UK this week, but not because of the show's violent content.

The huge banner - brandishing the tagline “What makes us human?” - for the zombie drama isn't just visible, it's unavoidable for people walking by.

Which would probably be alright, except for what's inside the building:

Bad taste? Marketing genius? A hybrid of the two? Who knows!

“There must have been somewhere else they could placed it that would have shown a degree of insight and sensitivity,” said a peeved resident.

Advertiser Clear Channel reportedly issued this apology:

“Clear Channel apologises for any offense caused by the unfortunate juxtaposition of this advertisement, which was certainly not intended."

"We arranged to have it removed right away."
